Nagato side table

Nagato side table

Item# F06-217

Halfway between furniture and sculpture, this side table is carved out of a chunk of solid wood. Its name is borrowed from the Japanese town but it also pays homage to the work of Constantin Brancusi through its clean lines with particular reference to the “endless column”. This piece, which is at the same time Brutalist and refined, combines minimalism with a poetry which elegantly fits into the home. The Nagato is a side table but can also be used as a stool. You can sit on it or use it to place a book, lamp or vase. The solid wood cracks naturally and in time gives the object its individual look.
